Step 1: Case Size

            

Fan size should be based on the size of the enclosure and the amount of cooling needed. It’s ideal to have one fan blow air in from the bottom and another pull air on top.

More information under Voltage and Current Guide. Keep in mind that AC and DC are different and that, in North America, 120V fans are ideal. Since voltages range from 110-125V, they are grouped in the same category. 

Step 3: Connector Type

            

AC fans have two types of connectors: lead wire and terminal. Lead wire uses wire while terminal has two metal prongs as its connector. Terminals are generally better due to its versatility.
